




Kimberly B. Doering
Vice President, Huntsville Operations
Kimberly B. (Kim) Doering serves as Vice President of United Space Alliance’s Huntsville Operations, where she leads USA’s support of NASA’s Space Shuttle, International Space Station and Constellation Program work in Alabama.
Prior to joining USA in 2008, Doering served as NASA’s Deputy Manager of the Space Shuttle Program, where she was responsible for overall management, integration and operation of the Space Shuttle Program, including establishing and implementing program policy, directing and controlling scheduling and directing the activities of a multidisciplinary workforce of more than 18,000 civil servants and contractors in the planning and execution of the Space Shuttle Program design.
She began her aerospace career as an engineer for Rockwell International in June 1984 before transitioning to Hernandez Engineering in 1986 and Booz, Allen & Hamilton in 1987. She joined NASA in February 1994 as the NASA Lead for Space Station Manifest and International Partners Coordination. She served as Deputy Manager for the ISS International
Partners Office from May 1998 to August 2003 and as Deputy Manager for Orbital Space Plane Spacecraft Vehicle Engineering from September 2003 to June 2004. Doering served as Manager of Space Shuttle Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) and Element Integration before being named Deputy Manager of Space Shuttle Systems Engineering and Integration in December 2005.
Doering has received the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal, the Superior Achievement Award, the Team Excellence Award, the Group Achievement Award and the Rotary Club Stellar Award.
Doering earned a bachelor of science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
