NASA Organization Honors USA Employee

USA employee Delmar Foster was presented a NESC Engineering Excellence award for his support with the Data Mining and Trending Working Group. The ceremony, held during an NESC leadership meeting at NASA Langley Research Center, recognized individuals for their contributions to critical technical assessments over the past year.

Foster received an NESC Engineering Excellence Award in recognition “of technical expertise and outstanding proactive support in establishing the processes and techniques for SAS software utilization within the Data Mining and Trending Working Group,” as stated in the citation.

“Delmar has consistently shown outstanding dedication to the Space Shuttle Program and has been a valued contributor to Solid Rocket Booster Element,” said Paul Gutierrez, Associate Program Manager Solid Rocket Booster Element. “We are fortunate to have the benefit of Delmar’s knowledge and expertise. He is truly deserving of this recognition.”

The Engineering Excellence Award honors individual accomplishments of NESC job-related tasks of such magnitude and merit as to deserve special recognition.

This is the fourth year that NESC has recognized employees and NASA partners for their efforts and achievements in the areas of engineering, leadership, teamwork and communication. These honorary awards formally recognize outstanding contributions to NESC-sponsored activities and encourage critical examination of engineering problems.
