Application Process
Students selected for the Co-op Program are those who have demonstrated better than average ability and potential. Each candidate must also meet the standards required by the institution’s Cooperative Education Program.

| Who is eligible for co-op?
Students must have completed 45 semester hours or 67 quarter units toward their academic degree, and must maintain a 2.5 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Students must remain in good standing throughout their participation in the co-op program.

What are USA’s Co-op employment requirements and practices?
- Students must meet essential job standards required for the position, pass a drug screening test, and successfully fulfill a background investigation consistent with the position requirements.
- Students must be at least 18 years of age at the beginning of the first work period.
- Students are hired into the salaried non-exempt classification.
- Co-op students must successfully meet the initial screening period (first work term).
- Students will participate in a Performance Evaluation after each work term

What is the pay rate for co-op students?
- Pay rates for co-op students are determined by the specific job assignment, the student’s experience and educational achievement, and by applicable pay schedules in effect.
